Edward Eugene Mantooth, age 83, passed away Thursday October 11, 2023 at Beverly Park Place. He was a long time member of Temple Baptist Church of Powell. Ed was a Veteran of the US Air Force during the Vietnam Era, and later worked with NASA. He was a master mechanic and retired from Rexnord Link Belt. Preceded in death by wife, Sharon Ann Mantooth; son, Mark Mantooth; and parents, Homer and Alyce Mantooth. Survived by son, Scott Eugene Mantooth; brother-in-law, Jerry Norton (Carolyn); sister-in-law, Renee Roberts; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. The family will receive friends from 12 – 2pm Friday October 20th at Curtis Hutson Chapel of Temple Baptist Church, 1700 W. Beaver Creek Dr., Powell, TN 37849. Funeral service will follow with Pastor James Zenker officiating. Interment will follow in Lynnhurst Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to American Brain Tumor Association, 8550 W.
