Edna and I never met in person but we knew each other through our letters . She and my half sister , Ruby Neal Fine -Smith-Turner , were relatives, good friends and pen pals. Ruby’s  dad was Rodney Smith . When Ruby passed away,  I found many letters from Edna and knew they must be friends . So I contacted Edna  to inform her about Ruby . All it took was one letter from her and I learned how much she truly loved her family and friends and the Lord . She was a beautiful lady inside and out .

Was just thinking about Edna and found her obituary. I worked with her as a nurse at McKinley Medical Center. To say she was loved is an understatement. She was professional, kind, hilariously funny, and the sweetest example of a Believer. She was a breath of fresh air. I'm quite sure she left a legacy of godliness to her family and to all who knew her. Blessings to the family and friends who had the privilege of knowing Edna.

Edna was always very nice to me and so was the entire family.  Love you all LC 

I had the wonderful pleasure of knowing Miss 'Maupin' from McKinley Health Center. I was a clerk in the Emergency Room  where she worked. Miss Maupin was my spiritual mother. She shared her godly wisdom with me, her sweet calming words when I needed to hear them. If things where kind of crazy  she would say sincerely; "this to shall pass".  She was the most giving and loving person I knew.  My heart is saddened because of her passing but I know that she is with her Lord and Savior rejoicing. 

Charlene and Chuck, so sorry to hear about your Mother. She was a long time co-worker and close and dear friend of Mother's.  I remember as kids growing up together.  Edna was a great,  caring , giving, and loving person who will be missed.
