Born and raised in Chickamauga, Georgia, Edna enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and working craft shows with her husband while raising her daughter. The family moved to the mountains of Gatlinburg in 1976 where they owned and operated several craft and leather shops and attended Gatlinburg Church of Christ. Edna retired in 2003 to take care of her husband and volunteered as a Senior Companion in Knoxville for 12 years.
Edna never met a stranger, always loved a good joke, was a master at crossword puzzles, and could beat anyone at a game of Rummy. She was a very proud mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Edna was a wonderful hardworking woman that is deeply loved, dearly missed, and will always be cherished.
Preceded in death by husband, James Hullender; parents, Chiefus and Gussie Childress; and sister, Francis McCarty. Survived by daughter, Kathy Ayers; grandchildren, Megan Ayers, Kasey Mosingo and her husband Jordan Mosingo; and great-grandchildren Marhsall and Owen Mosingo.
