Edith Cox Silvey

Edith C. Silvey age 88, died peacefully Friday, November 18 at Little Creek Sanitarium. She was born in Knoxville March 28, 1928. She was a member of West Hills Baptist Church and retired from the Knox County Property Assessors Office. Preceded in death by husbands William E. Silvey and W. Edward (Ed) Cunningham; brothers Kenneth, Ray, Bill, and sisters Cleda, Evelyn, Ruby, Faye, and Nell; parents William L. and Nova Ogle Cox. Survived by daughters Connie and Donna Silvey; brother James Cox (BJ) and several nieces and nephews; ‘god-daughter’ Judy Zachary Fenton (Mike).The family would like to thank the exceptional staff at Little Creek Sanitarium for their loving care and professionalism. Also, a special thanks to the Avalon Hospice staff. The family will receive friends Monday, November 21 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at West Hills Baptist Church. Service to follow with Rev. Drew Prince officiating. Interment will be at Edgewood Cemetery Tuesday, November 22 at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to West Hills Baptist Church, 409 N.
