Mr. Earl and Mrs.Jenny were so very special to me. I was a member of Briarcrest Baptist Church back in the 1980s,when I was a single young man. Mr.Earl was always so positive and inspiring,and truly loved our Lord and Saviour. He will be missed so very much. He and his sweet wife,and Family are so special. His son Paul had a beautiful voice also. God Bless You,dear man. Heaven's Choir has gained another voice. Rest In Peace,kind sir.😘

How saddened we were to learn of Earl's passing. Whenever we think of Earl, we think of youth choir tours and the wonderful music programs he brought to First Baptist. Uncle Earl, we will miss you and your beautiful baritone voice.

While I didn't know Dr. Holloway, our family has had the priviledge to know his beautiful daughter Sarah. We were extremely blessed to have her participate in the services of our parents. After reading the obituary, what great accomplishments he achieved and the lives he touched, Sarah shares his talent.  Our prayers are with you and your family during this time. I had learned of Bro. Holloway's passing from a friend that attended shool the same year. We had only memotries of joy and great honor when recalling the experiences we shared in knowing Dr. Holloway. The music ministry will never be same with out Doc Holloway.

Brother Holloway was a wonderful man of God that had a significant impact in my life while I was a student at Crown College.  Our condolences go out to his lovely wife and family.

Words seem inadequate to describe Earl Holloway. I was blessed to have been able to know him both as my youth choir director at the First Baptist Church of Memphis and as my friend. I would not trade anything for the hundreds of hours spent under his tutelage on Sunday afternoons in the choir room, or out on the open road as we choir toured all over the United States, or at the house on Crestmere with the Holloway family. Earl Holloway was one in a million, and he played a huge role in my development as a follower of Christ and a lover of the great and lasting music of the church. I'm glad I got to see him and Jennie and Sarah when they sneaked into the Sanctuary four years ago for an impromptu Sunday morning worship service homecoming that became a Holloway love feast. Thank you, "Uncle Earl." Thank you to Jennie, Kim, Sarah, Beth and Paul for sharing him with us all these years. My prayers and blessings go out to your wonderful family. One song that sticks in my mind at this moment in time is one he introduced to FBC. Some of you will remember its words: "How can I say thanks for the things you have done for me." While Andraé Crouch wrote "My Tribute" to honor and praise God, I think the first line can be appropriately applied to the life, ministry and work of Earl Holloway.

We were saddened by the passing of Earl Holloway.  We send our sincerest condolences to Jennie and all the family.  We enjoyed  many happy years singing in the choir of First Baptist Memphis under the direction of Earl Holloway.  He was not only an excellent director but a true Christian person.

We never had the pleasure of seeing his musical talents, but we were fortunate enough to see and talk with Earl every couple of weeks. He always had a kind word and every time he was there he was telling somebody how long he and Jennie had been married and that she was his "Sweet Angel". He will certainly be missed by all of us at the shop.

Jennie, Kim, Sarah Lou, Beth and Paul--I cherish my memories of youth choir under Mr. Holloway's direction at FBC, Memphis, where he developed my love for classical music.  I never hear "How Great Thou Art" without thinking of him and his beautiful baritone voice.  God bless and keep you all during this sad time.

As Minister of Music at The First Baptist Church of Memphis for the last 25 years, I am honored and humbled to follow in the footsteps of such a great man and fine musician.  He built a superb music program here, touched many lives, and instilled in this church a love of good music that has lasted through the years.  Sing on, my friend, sing on. . .

 I have great memories of Dr. Holloway's patience and his expertise during my youth choir days at First Baptist. I pray that the Peace of Christ be with his family and may his soul rest forever with his Lord.

I had the honor of knowing 'Papa' for 14 years and knew that everything he ever said or did was through his commitment to God and his lifetime partner,his wife.Dr.Holloway treated me as his own son and I will miss his presence here on Earth very much.
