Earl H Beeler

BEELER, EARL HOWARD - Born April 25, 1925 of Louisville, TN passed away November 4, 2012 at University of Tennessee Hospital in Knoxville. He was a graduate of Knoxville High School. He was a member of Lake Dale Community Church in Indiana but attended Second United Methodist Church in Knoxville, TN. He was retired from Globe Industries in Indiana. He was a veteran of World War II. He was previously a volunteer at the Knoxville Zoo and a lifetime member of the Humane Society. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jane Hagy Beeler. He is survived by two sons, Preston and Byron Beeler; five grandchildren, Charles Byron and his wife (Amanda), Rebecca, Robin, Alma and Preston II; six great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Jim Dowell; several nieces and nephews; and his dog, Cookie. Graveside services will be Friday, November 9, 2012 at 1:00 pm at Woodlawn Cemetery with full military honors, Michael McFarland officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 8, 2012 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations, may be made to the Knoxville Zoo, 3500 Knoxville Zoo Drive, Knoxville, TN 37914 or the Second United Methodist Church, 1524 Western Avenue, Knoxville, TN 37921.
