RAMSEY, DOROTHY ADAMS – age 79 of Knoxville, went to be with the Lord Thursday, April 23, 2015 peacefully at NHC Ft. Sanders. Member of Inskip Baptist Church. Former cosmetologist for 43 years, President of American Business Women’s Association, member of the Women’s Republican Association and was awarded (DAR) Daughter of American Revolution. She was a loving mother, grandmother and a devoted wife for 63 years. Preceded in death by her loving husband, Lowell W. Ramsey, Sr.; loving daughter, Cynthia V. Gordon; loving parents, Joseph E. and Thelma C. Adams; loving sister, Janice Campbell; loving brother, Dale Adams. Survived by her son, Chuck Ramsey; daughter and son-in-law, Sheila and Doug Dixon; and the joy of her life, grandchildren, Courtney, Blair, Shea, Alicia, Nick and Tyler; great-grandchildren, Isaiah, Aaron, Baylor and Ava; sister, Voncil Dykes; brother and sister-in-law, Dink and Carol Adams; sister and brother-in-law, Marty and James Witt; numerous nieces, nephews and devoted family and friends. Family will receive friends Monday from 6-8 pm in Weaver’s chapel with service to follow. Rev. Mike Segers officiating. Music by Rhonda Ramsey.
