Dorothy "Dottie" Patton

Dorothy "Dottie" Patton, age 87, of Knoxville, Tennessee passed away on Monday, June 13, 2022. She had a life well lived. Dottie retired from ORNL, where she used her talent for drawing as an illustrator. She loved the theater and had a beautiful voice which she shared with others through the Knoxville Choral Society and many local churches. She was a member of Meridian Baptist Church and loved the Lord.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Louise Lockwood.

Dottie is survived by her husband, Reverend Glenn Patton; children, Kenneth A. McMahan (Teresa), Chuck R. McMahan (Cissie) and Robin Swaggerty (Stan); seven grandchildren, Misty Gibson, Heather Smith, Andrea Valentine, Kendahl McMahan, Adam Swaggerty, Kerstin Anderson and Kalie McMahan; brothers, Bob Lockwood (Nancy) and Jim Lockwood (Jean); eight great-grandchildren, Sloane, Austin, Ethan, Jackson, Maddux, Preston, Keaton and Liam; and cousin, Louise Wyman.

Family and friends will gather for a funeral service at Berry Highland Memorial, 5315 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN 37919 on Thursday, June 16 at 6:00 PM. Pastor Dana L. Fachman will officiate.
