Dorothy W McPherson

McPherson, Dorothy Ruth Williams, age 97, of Knoxville, went to be with her Lord and Savior Sunday, February 22, 2015. She was a member of Wallace Memorial Baptist Church where she was very active in her church witnessing and missions ministries. After retiring from the University of Tennessee, she volunteered at St. Mary’s Hospital for 28 years. She was a member of the LIFT program of Berry Funeral Home. Preceded in death by husband, Eugene McPherson; parents, Joel Clyde and Trula Nelson Williams; brothers, J.C. and Don Williams; sister, Thelma Williams Berry; granddaughter, Martha McPherson. Survived by sons, Rev. Jim (Carolyn) and Mike (Jane) of Powell and John (Eva Sue) McPherson of Madison, AL; grandchildren, Mark (Vera) McPherson of Plano, TX, Sara Beth (Mark) Haven of Springfield, TN, Jeff (Alissa) McPherson of Knoxville, Joel (Maria) McPherson of El Paso, TX, Rev. Tim (Jill) McPherson of Brownsville, TN, and Molly (Jeff) Naylor of Charlotte, NC; great grandchildren, Bryant, Meagan, Noah, Maggie, Lainee, Tori, Tom, Sven, Lena, Mercer, and Duncan; sister-in-law, Kathy Williams of Scotts Bluff, NE and many beloved nieces and nephews.
