LYNCH, DOROTHY LUSK TARWATER – age 81 of Knoxville passed away Sunday, March 30, 2014 at Tennova Residential Hospice. She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother and caregiver. Heaven has gained a new angel with a sweet soul. Dorothy loved her church and was very active in all church functions serving for many years as a Sunday school teacher and a devoted member of the choir. Preceded in death by her husbands, Walter A. Tarwater and John M. Lynch; parents, Thomas and Onia Lusk; brothers, Jim and Robert Lusk; sister, Mary Dukes. Survived by daughters, Diane T. (Joe) Allen, Becky L. (Dan) Lynch; grandchildren, Claire B. Allen, Walter J. Allen (Ally), Tessa Nguyen (Jason), Kristi Lynch and Calli Lynch; great-granddaughter, Ava Ruth Allen; step-daughter, Gail Jones; step-grandchildren, Matthew (Jennifer) Jones and Meagan Jones; step great-grandchildren, Ethan and Avery Jones; brothers, Beecher, Tommy, J.W., and Gene Lusk; sisters, Betty Wells and Bonnie Underwood; many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held in Weaver’s Chapel from 5-7 pm Wednesday with chapel service to follow at 7 pm. Rev. Don Thomas officiating. Family and friends will meet Thursday 12:45 pm at Shiloh Cemetery in Sevierville, TN. for a 1pm interment.
