Dorothy Imogene Hickle

Dorothy Imogene Hickle, age 91, of Knoxville, TN, gained her wings on March 29, 2022. From a family of 15, she embodied the spirit of her generation. Dorothy had a quick wit and a loving disposition. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Dorothy is preceded in death by husband Wilba Cecil Hickle; daughter Teresa Kimberly McAuley; parents Hugh Ernest and Effie Mae Taylor; sisters Della Willadean Paine, Sandra Fay Young, and Edna Aileen Hiers; and brothers Felix, Jack and Stephen Taylor. She is survived by children Jesse Eugene (Mary) Barker and Cecilia Jane (Pete) Greene; grandchildren Christopher A. (Melissa) McAuley, Nicole R. (Nick) Geier, James M. Barker, Matthew L. Searcy and Ian N. Searcy; great-grandchildren Hunter B. McAuley and Theodore G. McAuley; sisters Mildred Garrison, Betty Burnham, Lois Norris; and brothers Louis, Lonnie, and Gary Taylor. Family and friends will meet for a Visitation at Berry Highland South on Saturday, April 2, 2022, from 12pm-2pm with a Funeral Service following at 2pm. A Graveside Service will be held following the Funeral Service in the Garden of Valor at Berry Highland South Cemetery on April 2, 2022.
