Debbie, Brenda and families:
My younger sister, Pam, informed me yesterday, that she found out about Dot's going HOME and that it happened last week!
I was unable to come to the mortuary, since I am now living full time in Las Vegas!
I just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed being in the Light Bearers class with my precious Mother and Dot as the teacher!   Mother called her Sunday School class "the girls" and most are all together again now.  I loved being in Mother's class and all that I learned from these precious ladies, who were in class for around 60+ years together!  Dot was always so sweet to me and her and Richard were always such good friends with Mother and Daddy and they truly loved them!  
When Mother went HOME on March 18, 2017, Dot was right there at the mortuary and I could tell it was very hard for her to be there, but there she was!  I told her how much it meant for me (us) that she had came and it brought tears to her eyes when she seen me!
I was so glad to see her, knowing how much she meant to me and Mother!  Mother had always spoke so highly of Dot and said how much she loved her!
I also told Dot that Mother had always said that she didn't want to be the last one in her class to go HOME and Dot said well she wasn't!  
There was so much love in their class and I truly loved being with each and every one of those special ladies and your precious Mother!  I had missed seeing her and the class for awhile when Mother wasn't able to go to Sunday School and I know Mother did too, cause she told me multiple times!  
I feel so blessed to have known and been around your Mother as a teacher and a friend.  Mother and I loved her greatly!  I will have your whole family in my prayers for comfort as I to know to well how how hard it is.

To the family of Richard and Dot Davis,  their journey here is complete and their legacy has moved on to Heaven.  What remains here are all the fantastic memories of this beautiful, hard working couple and I can proudly say, "We knew them."
Dot will rest easy now and I am sure Richard is smiling!

Dot was a very good friend of mine , she was such a good person and friend to everyone. We shared the same Sunday school class at Sevier Heights Baptist Church. She always had a joyful smile on her face that would light up a room. She was always there when someone was sick and needed her help. May you rest in peace my sweet friend. You will be missed.

So sorry to hear of Dottie's passing. I remember them at Colonial for years as they were gracious enough to offer services to the KFD Honor Guard and 1st. Responder programs. She was always smiling and ready to assist you in all ways, even asking how your family is doing. At SHBC, I had the honor to pass  that kindness back her way, what a blessing to know her. Brenda and Debbie, thank you for your thoughtfulness in coming to my mother’s graveside service in 2016 and for bringing your sweet mother.  Dot and mother loved each other and worked together for many years in Sevier Heights Baptist Church.  Dot was the WMU president and mother was the GA director.  They are together again now, in the presence of the One they loved more than any other, their Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ..  May He comfort you as we remember His words, “I will not leave you comfortless.  I will come to you.  Because I live, you shall live, also.”  Until we get home to heaven, we will miss our loved ones, but it’s only for awhile.❤️🙏

Brenda and Debbie, you could not have had any better parents. Growing up near you I always thought you all were the perfect family. Later as an adult I always enjoyed entering their place of business. . They took the time to talk with you & let you know they remembered you. Such a precious & hard working couple. You both are In my thoughts & prayers !

Thoughts, love and prayers are with your families. Your Mom was one of the loveliest ladies I remember from my childhood.  My Mom thought the world of both of your parents and treasured their memories together! I would love a peek through the floor of heaven to see them all rejoicing. Love to all of you!

Brenda and Debbie, our hearts break for your loss but knowing that your sweet Mother is with her Heavenly Father and those that she loved who went before and that we will be with her again is so comforting.  My Mom, Dot Crye loved your Mom and Dad so very much, there had to be a wonderful reunion in Heaven when your mom got there.  You are in our hearts and prayers during this time and rejoicing with you all knowing where she is!
