FRAZIER, DORIS PACKETT- age 84 a resident of Knoxville went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, August 23, 2011 after a long battle with Multiple System Atrophy, (MSA). She was the daughter of the late Lillie Cooper Packett and Vasco Packett. She is preceded in death by her husband, William Winferd Frazier (Dub) of 46 years: Two sisters and their husbands Helen and Bob Moody, Frances and Coya Stinnett; One brother Charles Packett; and four brothers-in-law Wilmer Frazier, Charles Frazier, Joe Frazier and wife Christine, and Ray Loveday, sister-in-law Dot Tallent and husband William; and two beautiful nieces Bonny Stinnett and Debbie Frazier. She loved the Lord and served Him. She has been a member of Wallace Memorial Baptist Church since 1962. She loved Rev. Jim McCluskey and his wife Libby. She appreciated all her Christian friends and the visits from Rev. Kent Williams. She worked until the age of 65 at the County Clerk’s Office. Survivors include her daughter Judy Witt and husband Bill, her son W. Steven Frazier and his girlfriend Sharron Hill; four grandchildren, Jeff Witt, DeeDee Gibson and husband Shane, Mark Witt and wife Chasity, Jason Frazier and wife Rachel. Eleven great-grandchildren, Tyler Gibson, Tara Gibson, Chase Witt, Tanner Gibson, Trent Gibson, Bryce Witt, Alexa Witt, Tessa Gibson, Tori Gibson, Chaislyn Witt, and Brady Witt. Sharron’s daughter LeaAnn Wright and husband Jimmy and sons Will and Weston. One sister Ruth Packett Frazier and brother Dr. Leonard Packett and girlfriend Billie; Three sisters-in-law Margaret Loveday, Betty Frazier, and Mary Carter; Many nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family will receive friends Friday 10 am to 12 noon at Weaver Funeral Home and then will celebrate her life and homecoming with a graveside service at Byrd’s Chapel Cemetery at 12:30 pm following visitation with Rev. Kent Williams officiating. Pallbearers will be Jeff Witt, Mark Witt, Shane Gibson, Tyler Gibson, Will Wright, and Ben Witt. Honorary pallbearers will be Jason Frazier who was out of the country and her other great-grandsons.
