Donna was preceded in death by her husband, Robert V. (Bob) Creekmore Sr, her sister, Carolyn Faasse; parents, George and Jane Rankin. She is survived by her stepson, Robert “Rip” V. Creekmore Jr,; daughter-in-law, Joann L. Creekmore and numerous nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, cousins and a sister-in-law and brother-in-law.
Donna was born in San Antonio, but lived most of her youth in Topeka and the Kansas City area where she received her undergraduate degrees from the University of Kansas. After graduating, Donna moved to Chicago and worked as a computer trainer for IBM. It was there that she met her husband Bob, and they were married in 1967. They also lived in Atlanta, Brooklyn Heights and Plantation, Florida.
Donna was an accomplished writer of Romance novels and had 13 novels published under either her name or her pen name of Diana Campbell. She was an avid bridge player and achieved the level of Junior Master. Donna also loved to travel and visited many countries in North America, South America, Europe and Asia.
Donna will always be remembered for her incredible wicked wit that would make everyone laugh, her great cooking, her love of books and reading, card games and her love of dogs – especially miniature toy poodles.
