Baker, Donald Eugene – age 86, of Knoxville, passed away Friday April 21, 2023, at Jefferson City Health and Rehabilitation Center after a complication with renal failure. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Don was a long-time member of West End Church of Christ and Farragut Church of Christ. The family greatly appreciates all the cards and well wishes Don received during his stay at JCHRC. He was very grateful for all the love and support from his church family.
The family would also like to thank Smoky Mtn Hospice of Morristown for their compassion and help making Don’s transition peaceful.
Also, special thanks to Elsie Freeman for her devotion to the family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Lou Reatha Baker, his brother Earl, his sister Evelyn and his wife Mildred Baker.
He is survived by his 3 children: Donald Baker, Jr. (Tammy Miniard), Michelle Baker (Judy Bibler), and Rebecca Johnson, his grandchildren: Eric Baker, Brian Baker, Tyler Johnson and Tim Johnson; and his great grandson Octavian Baker.
