Dianne W. Byers

Dianne W. Byers, age 85, of Knoxville, Tennessee passed away on Tuesday, January 30, 2024. She graduated with a Bachelor's degree from Carson Newman College. She retired after 34 years as a Kindergarten teacher at Brownlow and Christenberry Elementary Schools of Knox County. She loved cooking, flowers and arts and crafts. She was a member of the Crafty Quilters. She was a devoted member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband Henry J. Byers and her parents, Ray and Edna Patterson.

Dianne is survived by her daughter Paige and husband Johnny Dailey; precious granddaughter, Amber Lauren Dailey; sister, Carolyn and husband Paul Smith; special family, Debbie and husband Steve Stiner; and her caregiver and bestie Susan Miller.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Wymma Large and all of the extraordinary staff at UT Hospice.

Services will be held Monday February 5, 2024 from 4pm - 6pm with a funeral service following at 6pm at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 6632 Chapman Highway, Knoxville, TN 37920. Family and friends will gather at 10:45 am for an 11am graveside service on Tuesday February 6, 2024 at Lynnhurst Cemetery, 2300 Adair Dr, Knoxville, TN 37918. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Gloria Dei Lutheran Church or ABLE TN in honor of Amber to secure her future needs.
