Dennis Steve Glenn

Dennis "Steve" Glenn, age 60, of Knoxville, went to be with the Lord on Friday, December 29, 2017. He was a faithful member of Bays Mountain Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the United States Army and Air Force Reserve. Steve retired from the University of Tennessee Medical Center Facilities Planning Department as a draftsman with eighteen years of service. Steve was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Wilma Glenn and grandparents James and Martha Merritt. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 37 years Abbie Glenn; daughter and son-in-law Jessica and Jeremy Pendergrass; son and daughter-in-law Jimmy and Britney Glenn; grandchildren Jasmine Richards, Rebekkah and Ethan Glenn; sister and brother-in-law Gail and Keith Poe; sister and brother-in-law Pat and Mickey Lusk; several nieces, nephews, uncles and aunts, and many friends. The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude for all the prayers and visits during Steve's illness. Family will receive friends on Thursday, January 4, 2018 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at McCarty Evergreen Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 7:00 pm, Revs. Jim Yeary, Tim Rauhuff, and Ralph Burke officiating. Family and friends will meet at McCarty Evergreen Funeral Home on Friday, January 5, 2018 at 10:15 am to go in procession to East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery for an 11:30 am interment service.
