Deborah (Debbie) Wallace Allison, age 74, of Knoxville, TN, passed away peacefully on July 30, 2024. Born on September 23, 1949, she lived a life marked by unwavering kindness, boundless love, and a vibrant spirit that touched everyone around her. She loved angels and now, she has her own set of wings.
She is preceded in death by parents, James E Wallace and Rita K Wallace; grandmother, Winifred Renn; brothers, James (Barbara) Wallace and Thomas (Darlene) Wallace.
She is survived by her loving husband, Carl E Allison; daughter, Tammy (Jack) Mills; grandchildren Jacklyn and Cayden Mills; three sisters Eileen (Thomas) Ridings, Janice (Joe) Tirado, and Dale Chapman, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Debbie was a devoted wife to Carl for 48 cherished years. Together, they built a life filled with love. Her pride and joy were her daughter, Tammy, and her beloved grandchildren, Jacklyn and Cayden, who brought immense happiness and fulfillment to her life.
A true lover of life’s simple pleasures, she found joy in shopping, visits to the beach, and evenings spent watching movies. Her infectious smile, sense of fun, and laughter were a constant source of light for those around her. She also held a special place in her heart for her beloved animals, particularly Lacy and Macy, who were her faithful companions and sources of comfort.
After retiring from UT Medical Center’s Environmental Services, Debbie treasured the many lifelong friendships she made during her career. Her warm and friendly nature made her a beloved colleague and friend to many. Debbie was known for her generosity and caring nature, qualities that endeared her to everyone who knew her. Debbie's loving spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Her legacy of kindness and joy will continue to inspire and uplift those who were fortunate enough to have known her.
Family and friends will gather on Sunday, August 4, 2024 between the hours of 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM in the chapel of McCarty Evergreen Funeral Home, 7426 Asheville Hwy, Knoxville, TN with a service to follow at 6:00 PM. Please feel free to wear your favorite shade of blue, in honor of Debbie’s favorite color.
A private interment service will be held at Berry Lynnhurst Cemetery, 2300 Adair Drive, Knoxville, TN on Monday, August 5, 2024.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to your favorite charity or help a family member or a friend out, who is in need, because that’s what Debbie would want.
