David Gaddy

DAVID GADDY age 71 of Knoxville, passed away Friday, February 14, 2014 at Tennova Residential Hospice. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran. He was retired from the Knox County Sheriff’s Office. Preceded in death by parents, Alfred Gaddy and Lucille and Richard Hoover. Survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Cathy; sons, Robert Shane (Amanda) Gaddy and Jason Gaddy and Crystal Thomas; daughter, Maria Gaddy; grandchildren, Lexie, Drake, Ashlynn, Aly, Lethan, Ayden and Katelyn; brothers, Jackie (Mackie) Chesnutt and Glenn Hoover; sister, Cheryl (Kelly) McDaniel; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 5-7 pm Tuesday at Weaver’s Chapel with the service to follow at 7 pm with Jackie Chesnutt officiating. Family and friends will meet at Weaver’s at 12:30 pm Wednesday to proceed to East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery for a 1:30 pm interment. Special services will be performed by the Knox County Sheriff’s Office: Taps, 21 gun salute, motorcade and bagpipes will be played by Vincent Ayub.
