TOWNSEND, DARRELL G. went home to be with Jesus September 28, 2010 with his wife and children by his side. Preceded in death by parents Tasker and Florence Townsend, step-sons; Nick and Josh McMillan. Darrell is survived by his wife Carla, son; Allen, daughter; Tiffany, step-daughter; Jessica McMillan, Wendy Hackney, three step-grandchildren that he loved very much, Lexie McMillan, Andrew Bettis, and Briana Stewart, sisters; Carolyn Walden, Joyce McCulley, and Gail Hill, brothers; Steve Vittatoe, Freed Townsend, and wife Dena, several nieces and nephews, mother-in-law Dottie McGill, brothers-in-law and wives; Mike and Leslie McGill, Rick and Rebekkah McGill, David and Lola McGill, and a lot of very special friends. Visitation will be from 5-8 pm Thursday at Weaver funeral Home with service to follow at 8 pm. Chaplain Ernie Coleman officiating. Family and friends will meet 10:45 am Friday at Edgewood Cemetery for an 11:00 am interment.
