DANIEL ROBERT DUNN, JR. (TOMATO MAN), age 91 of Karns, passed away at his home on Saturday, May 7, 2016. Robert was born and raised in Townsend before joining the Navy where he served on the USS Vestal during WWII. He was a member of Ball Camp Baptist Church. Retired machinist from Rust Engineering in Oak Ridge. Robert loved his family and enjoyed gardening and selling produce. Preceded in death by wife, Adeline Godfrey Dunn: parents, Daniel Robert Dunn, Sr. and Martha Kerley Dunn; brothers, Harrison, Herbert and Joe Dunn; sisters, Hester Patty, Jeanette Blevins, Lily Davis, Mary Sue Frye and Myrtle Dunn; sons-in-law, Bill Green and Hubert Berry. Robert is survived by his son, Daniel Robert Dunn III and wife, Teresa; daughters, Martha Green, Darnell Williams and husband, Gary, and Bonnie Berry; grandchildren, Mark Dunn and wife, Robin, Kim Jenkins, Robby Green and wife, Lisa, Jennifer Williams and husband, Jabbar McClinton, Martha Berry, Lester Berry and Jeanette Jones; great-grandchildren, Wyatt and Ashtynn Dunn, Katie and Hunter Jenkins, Austin and Lincoln Green and Conner Gale. The family will receive friends 5-7 pm Wednesday at Weaver’s Chapel with the service to follow at 7 pm. Rev. Lee Fox officiating.
