Christine Cureton, age 86, of Knoxville, passed away peacefully at home on August 21, 2017. She went home to be with her Lord and Savior and to join her husband, Eugene whom she deeply missed. She was a long time member of North Acres Baptist Church. She was a devoted Christian, wife, mother, and grandmother. Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Eugene; parents, Jerry Lee and Hazel Irene Hefner. Survivors include loving daughters, Gina Duck and husband Scott, Susan Byrum and husband Stephen, Debbie Hale and husband Michael; grandchildren, Heather Duck and fiancé Matthew Adkins, Stephen Eugene Byrum, Amanda Hale, Andrew Duck, Scottie Byrum, and Delaney Duck; sister-in-law, Joyce Cureton; nieces; Tammy Cureton, Laurie Groomes, Patti Sue Mills and great niece Britney Groomes. The family will receive friends Friday, August 25, 2017 from 5 – 7 pm with the funeral service to follow with Rev. Charles Lynch officiating at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home, 2300 Adair Dr. We will meet here at 9 am Saturday and go in procession to Greenwood Cemetery for the 9:30 am interment.
