Christine Cox

Cox, Christine 89 of Knoxville, TN went to her Heavenly Home Sunday, August 23, 2020. She was born and raised in Campbell County, TN. Christine spent most of her adult life in Garrettsville, Ohio where she and her husband raised their three daughters. Upon retirement, they returned to their birth state of Tennessee. Christine was a member of Bells Campground Baptist Church. She loved her family, church and friends. Christine was a wonderful homemaker who taught by example. Life challenges were mere bumps in the road. She was a breast cancer survivor and never gave in to the Alzheimer's she battled the last years of her life. Christine enjoyed needlework, sewing and quilting.

She was preceded in death by parents, Ernest and Velda Ridenour; brothers, George and Tommy Ridenour.

Christine is survived by her loving husband of 71 years, Harold Cox; daughters, Cynthia (Ken) Furl; Gail (Ken) Sturm, Debbie (Bob) Norris; grandchildren, Chris (Bonnie) Furl, Lisa (Tim) Nalbach, Kevin (Jessica) Sturm, Kurtis (Heather) Sturm, Meredith (Zack) Spears, Robert Norris; great grandchildren, Hunter Furl, Zoe, Jocelyn, and Jillian Nalbach, Mollie, Macie, Konner, Luke and Marissa Sturm, Eloise Spears; siblings, Nancy Robinson, Pauline (John) Lawson, David (Joyce) Ridenour, Patricia (James) Rice, Don (Janie) Ridenour; sisters-in-law, Jennie and Narcia Ridenour; several nieces and nephews. Family would like to thank the employees at the Cumberland House for their exceptional care.

Family will receive friends Thursday, August 27th from 5-7pm at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home. Graveside service will take place Friday, August 28th meeting at Campbell Memorial Gardens at 9:45am for a 10am service. Rev. Ken Furl to officiate.
