Charlsey Ann Grubb Dunn, age 93, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 27th, 2022 to be with her heavenly Father and her much-loved husband, Ralph. She was an owner and member of the Board of Directors for Chapman Drug Company, a member of the Knoxville Symphony League and the Westmoreland Ladies Lunch Bunch. She also enjoyed spending time with her former classmates from Knoxville High School at their monthly dinners. She was a previous member of Eastminster Presbyterian Church and a current member of Second Presbyterian Church in Knoxville. Charlsey was a loving wife, sister, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother whose life reflected one of grace and generosity. She was blessed with a wonderful life full of family and friends who loved her deeply and whom she loved in return.
She and Ralph shared many enjoyable years of traveling with family and friends, especially so with Charlsey's sister and brother-in-law, Gloria and Dwight Kessel. Her greatest joy came in spending time with her family, and they will miss her beautiful smile and warm hugs more than words can convey. They draw great comfort, however, in the knowledge that she is at peace with the Lord and together again with Ralph and other loved family members.
Charlsey was predeceased by her beloved husband of 61 years, Ralph; her parents, Edgar and Minnie Grubb; and her son-in-law, Michael Carmichael. She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Gloria and Dwight Kessel; sister-in-law, Carolyn Olson; her children, Connie Beetley, Rocky (Kati) Dunn, Sylvia (Joe) Major, and David (Kara) Dunn; her grandchildren, Jeff (Trina) Beetley, Amanda (Shane) Adkins, Jessany (Matt) Bledsoe, Jordan (Ayme) Major, Kayley (Jon) Riley, Brittney Coffey, Brooke Lee, Afton Boles, Adysan Dunn, Evan Dunn, Austin Dunn, and Brycen Dunn, as well as 17 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 2nd from 2:00-3:30 at Berry Highland Memorial Funeral Home, 5315 Kingston Pike, with the funeral service immediately following. Memorial donations may be made to Second Presbyterian Church, 2829 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN 37919 or to the charity of your choice.
The family is especially grateful for the care provided to Charlsey by Smoky Mountain Home Health and Hospice and Westmoreland Health and Rehab Center. They were both a blessing beyond measure.
