Charlotte went home to be with her Lord Jesus Christ, Monday afternoon, September 25, 2017 at 92 years young. She will be remembered as one who enjoyed life and being with friends and family. She was Charter Member of West Hills Baptist Church. She was an active member of the Republican Party and was an officer for years. She was married to Warren Slagle and they enjoyed 53 years of a loving relationship. Warren preceded her, passing in 2000. In her early years she was a school teacher at the elementary level. When her two boys Rick and Eric were born she came back home to raise them. Years later she worked in the flower business with her mother Catherine Gray. She was an avid tennis player for over 40 years. She worked in real estate with Volunteer Reality. Throughout all the years she was a passionate fan of UT Football games, into her early eighties. She loved her grandchildren Jessica (Millard Williamson) and Joanna and Joseph Slagle very much. She was also preceded by her parents Arthur and Catherine Gray; sister Emma Jo White. She is survived by sons Rick Slagle (Jillian Slagle) and Eric Slagle (Marsha Slagle) and brother Douglas Biddle Gray, Sr. Chaplain Austin Moore of NHC will officiate graveside service Thursday at 11am at Berry Highland Memorial.
