Owen, Charlotte Ruth, age 77, of Knoxville, passed away Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at her residence. Charlotte was a wonderful mother of 6 children and wife of 61 years. She was preceded in death by parents, Annis and Bryce Longmire; sons, Rick and Cliff Owen; and brother, Lonnell Longmire. Survived by husband, Johnny Earl Owen; daughters and sons-in-law; Julie and Dickie Tipton, Debby and Buck McMahan, and Sonja Roberts; son, Johnny “Wimpy” Owen Jr.; grandchildren, Bridgit McMahan, Julie Jolly, Charlesey and Jessica Owen; great- granddaughter, Ciara Johnson; sister, Alpha Longmire; brother, Eulus Longmire; many good friends; special friends, Glenda Stinnett, Bootsey, Alma, and June. Family will receive friends Thursday, July 5, 2012 from 6-8 PM at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Hwy. Family and friends will meet Friday, July 6, 2012 at Mt. Olive Cemetery for a 2 PM graveside.
