Charles Edward Lowe (Lindbergh) of Knoxville, born November 8, 1928, passed away surrounded by his family on April 23, 2017. He was of the Baptist faith. Charles was a veteran of the U.S. Army and he retired from Martin Marietta Y-12 plant in 1992 after 36 years of service. Preceded in death by his parents William F. Lowe and Evelyn Snyder Lowe; brother, W.F. (Bill) Lowe; sisters, Marie Dixon, Margaret Buchanan and Jennie Ledford. Charles is survived by his wife, Wanda Sue Lowe, who he married June 30, 1950; children, Debbie Green, Kenneth Lowe and wife Pam ; grandchildren, Heather Gill and husband Don, Jeremiah Green, Kristen Carter, Megan Farr and husband Brandon and Ashley Lowe; great-grandchildren, Cody Cassell, Savannah Carter, Emma Cassell, Macyn Carter, Autumn Carter, Lauren Farr, Ryan Farr, Sutton Farr and several nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Moe and the caregivers at Avalon Hospice, the caregivers from Professional Case Management, and a special thank you to Lisa Hancock for her help during trying times. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Pat Summitt Foundation. Family will receive friends Sunday in Weaver's chapel from 5-7 pm with service to follow at 7:00 pm. Family and friends will meet Monday, May I, 2017 at East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery at 11:15 am for an 11:30 am interment.
