Charlcie Alice Munsey "Granny" "Baby Granny", age 81, of Knoxville, Tennessee went home on Saturday, January 21, 2023. She was born November 13, 1941 in Radford, VA. She graduated from Radford High School and completed one year at Southwestern College in Rock Springs, GA. In her youth she was a dancer who was training to be a Rockette. She worked for the police department in Chattanooga, TN and Leon County Sheriff in Tallahassee, FL. She was also a caretaker for the Human Service Department. Granny never met a stranger and would do anything to help someone. She was a "cat person" from childhood and had a beautiful cat named Speckles, whom she loved very much. Granny was an avid reader and loved books, scrapbooking and was also a collector of roosters, cats, mugs and windchimes. She could always make you laugh and will be missed by all.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Eulalia Gladys Keister Munsey; father, John William Munsey; daughter, Cristie Lee Hunt of Rossville, GA; grandparents: Charles Elliot Keister, Fanny Howard Keister, Mamma Munsey; aunts: Rita Munsey, Margaret Eistiene and Helen Bailey.
Charlcie "Granny" is survived by her sons, Mark Lincoln Munsey (Annette), Donald J. Reams (Naomi); daughter, Callie McCrary (Jerry); grandchildren: Nicole Todd (Teddie), Joseph Munsey, Brey Covington, Zachary McCrary, Dylan Hunt, Amanda Cantu, Jasmine Widener, Carter Adams; great-grandchild, Marshall Todd and extended family, Sonya Leake and Cheyenne Phillips. She is also survived by many friends at Halls Senior Center, Faithway Baptist Church of Knoxville, Red Hat Society, Newcomers Club, Karns Senior Center and Corryton Senior Center.
