Catherine S. Howerton

Catherine S. Ferrick Howerton, age 85, passed away at her home on March 8, 2017. Catherine was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend to many. She retired from Zayre and Target. Catherine was a member of Holy Ghost Catholic Church. She loved her church and traveling. Preceded in death by her husband of 65 years Art Howerton, and infant son Nathan; sisters Gerry (Ralph) Humphries, Helen (Glen) Humphries and Ruth Miller. Survived by sons Steve (Debbie) and James Howerton; grandchildren: Ben (Kristan), Matt (Lakeisha), Josh and Jessica; great grandchildren Amber, Haley, Aiden, Hunter and Kaitlyn; brother-in-law Billy Miller, along with many nieces and nephews including special niece Donna (Larry) Martin. The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 12, 2017 at Berry-Lynnhurst Funeral home from 5-7 pm, with a Rosary Service following. The Mass for Mrs. Howerton will be held on Monday, March 13, 2017 at 11:00 am at Holy Ghost Catholic Church with Father Dowling, officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
