Carolyn Sue Vittatoe Walden

Carolyn Sue Vittatoe Walden, age 79 of Knoxville, passed away June 1, 2023. She was a devoted member of Karns Church of Christ. She was a loving mother, grandmother, mother-in-law, sister, aunt and friend to all. She loved her family, her church family, her flower gardens, and all animals, but she really didn’t care much for housekeeping.(Lol) Preceded in death by her husband, William K. Walden; mother, Florence “Cox” Townsend; father, Wiley Vittatoe; brothers, Darrell Townsend and Steve Vittatoe; sister, Gail Townsend Hill. Survived by daughter, Betty Jean Sutherland (Randy); grandson, Christopher Walden (Cassy); sister, Joyce McCulley; brother, Freed Townsend (Dena), cousins and several nieces and nephews. A special thank you to friend and hospice nurse, Stephanie Leach; neighbors, Cindy and Johnnie Conner and Cordell and Denean Sharp. Family will receive friends Saturday, July 15, 2023 at Weaver Funeral Home from 2-3 pm with a Celebration of Life service to follow at 3pm. Edwin Jones will be officiating.
