Carolyn "Carol" Thomas Snapp, 79, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, June 21, 2023 with her loving husband of 34 years, John Stephen Snapp, by her side. She was born on January 31,1944, in Knoxville, Tennessee and at an early age professed her faith in Jesus Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Roseva Thomas; sister, Cynthia Thomas; brother, Jimmy Thomas; brother-in-law, Roger Snapp.
Carol is survived by her husband, John Stephen Snapp; brother, Danny Thomas; sons, Jeff Hutchison and wife, Nancy, Mike Snapp and wife, Lori, Doug Snapp and wife, Laura; grandchildren, Lexxy Hutchison McNabney and husband, Michael, Annah Hutchison, Morgan Snapp, Cade Snapp, Emily Snapp Pemble and husband, Dan, Olivia Snapp, Jonathan Wallace and wife, Nicole, Jared Wallace and wife, Kristin, Crystal Wallace Solomon and husband, Austin, Caroline Wallace Self and husband, Brock; great grandchildren, Boone and Oliver McNabney, Khaison Moore, Luke Pemble, Hallie Kay, Annie, and Scottie Solomon.
She was a member of Valley Grove Baptist Church, Ladies of Harley, Harley Owners Group, and Thread and Thimble Quilt Guild. Carol and Steve were blessed with many friends here locally and in their Florida community of Lake Okeechobee where they spent many warm winters.
Please join us as we celebrate Carol’s life in receiving friends and loved ones on Monday, June 26th from 5:00-7:00 p.m. with a service to follow at Berry Highland Memorial Funeral Home, 5315 Kingston Pike, Knoxville. There will also be a graveside service at 11am on Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at Berry Highland Memorial Cemetery. The services will be officiated by Keith Vaughan, Senior Pastor of Valley Grove Baptist Church.
Flowers are welcome, but in lieu of flowers donations may be made to Disabled American Veterans or Wounded Warrior Project.
