Carol was a beautiful, sweet-spirited person with a lovely smile who brought a ray of sunshine along with her wherever she went. She was active in the Helping Hands Ministries and Triple L (Living Longer and Loving it) at Beaver Creek Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Knoxville, TN. She enjoyed sewing for others, spending time with friends and loved ones, reading and watching the gold finches in her yard in the spring and summer. She leaves to mourn her loss, her children, son Joel Estes (Jean); daughter, Rene’ Wischow; sister, Bettie Kurtz; nephew, Ted Pietrzak (Noel); six grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, and the love of her life, Bill Phelps, Sr.
Visitation will be held at the Highland Memorial Chapel, 5315 Kingston Pike on Saturday from 12:00 to 2:00 pm, service at 2:00 pm with burial to follow. Officiated by Dr. Thomas Sweet and Rev. Fran Vickers.
In lieu of flowers, Carol requested that donations be made to Beaver Creek Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 7225 Old Clinton Pk., Knoxville, TN.
