CALVIN EUGENE BALDWIN, 76, of Knoxville went to be with the Lord on October 18, 2016. Mr. Baldwin was a veteran of the United States Air Force, stationed in Germany. He took part in the special K-9 unit. After his service to the Air Force he later went to serve for the Knoxville Police Department then later transferred to the Knoxville Fire Department, Station 12 for the next 30 years until his retirement. Mr. Baldwin’s career took him several places throughout the course of his lifetime, where he gained many special friends along the way. Mr. Baldwin was preceded in death by his parents, Grady Baldwin and Lucille “Dede” Townsend. He is survived by his loving wife of 16 years, Janice R. Baldwin; sister, Brenda York; son, Kevin Baldwin (Emma); uncle, Tommy Wilkes (Janie); aunt, Betty Webb, all of Knoxville; David Denton (Sherry) of Heiskell; Jeannie LaRue (Tommy) of Rockwood. His special; family members include his grandchildren and nephews, John and Brett Baldwin, Elizabeth, Josh, Savannah and Julianne Denton, Danielle Merritt (Gary), Tiffany LaRue (Jeff), Sarah and Thomas LaRue, Robbie York (Susan) , Robert ,Josh and Ryan York and many other extended family and friends throughout the Knoxville Fire Department. The family would like to thank everyone for their support during this difficult time. Visitation will be from 5:00pm-7:00pm Friday in Weaver’s chapel with service to follow.
