Broadus Ernest Parrott “B.E. or Polly” age 88 of Knoxville, passed away March 19, 2022 at his home. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and Retired from Bell South after 37 years of service where he had many good memories and acquired his nickname Polly. He was a member of Wallace Memorial Baptist Church. A member of Beaver Ridge Masonic Lodge # 366 for over 60 years and Past Master. He was part of the Shriner’s Motorcycle unit. He will always be known as a sharp dresser. He loved his starched jeans and cowboy boots. Preceded in death by parents, Ernest and Alice Parrott and daughter, Teresa Parrott. Survived by his wife, Geraldine McCloud Parrott (Gerri); sister, Betty (Ray) Henry; daughter, Andrea (Dwight) Disney; grandchildren, Alysha (James) Payne, Allison (Mike) Grimes and Preston Disney; great-grandchildren, Myles Harvey Payne and Brynlee Kay Payne; niece, Sheri Hobbs; his beloved Jack Russell, Kelli; best friends, Mike, Gene and Art who were always competing to be his # 1 friend. The family will received friends 11 am – 1 pm Wednesday at Weaver’s Chapel with the service to follow at 1 pm. Family and friends will meet at 3 pm Wednesday at Berry Highland Memorial Cemetery Mausoleum for the entombment.
