SEXTON, BONNIE JO BREWER. age 72 of Knoxville, went to meet her heavenly father on Saturday, December 8, 2012 at Parkwest Hospital surrounded by ones that loved her. Bonnie was born February 1, 1940 in Sneedville, Tennessee. She was of the Baptist faith and lived by the words of the Bible. She was always willing to offer a helping hand to anyone that needed it, whether it be family, friend or stranger. Bonnie was a 38 year breast cancer survivor, even after the doctors gave her 3 months to live. She was a strong woman and a pillar of strength not only for her family but for those around her. She was preceded in death by parents, Woodrow and Edna Seals Brewer; brother, Harold Brewer; in-laws, Edward and Juanita Sexton; and precious baby, Lucy Charlene Sexton.
Survived by husband of 56 years, Ronald W. Sexton and 3 grown children, Terry and Mona (Sexton) Clowers, Bryan Sexton and Carmeletta Sexton Thomas. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren and by many relatives and friends in Sneedville. Special thanks to all the great nurses and doctors of Parkwest Hospital. A very special thank you to Dr. Chang Wen Chen for years of care and support. Also thanks to Dr. Gimble for his words of encouragement and care.
Family will receive friends from 6-8 P.M. Monday at Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel with chapel service to follow at 8 P.M. with Pastor David Watson officiating. Family and friends will meet at 2 P.M.
