Nipper, Bonnie Johnson, age 89, of Knoxville, went to be with the Lord on October 27, 2014. Bonnie was a graduate of Young High School class of 1942. She and her husband were co-owners of Kitchen Planning, Inc., where for 20 years she served as secretary-treasurer. She had a special gift of hospitality and enjoyed hosting dinners for family and friends. A long-time member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church and a former member of Meridian Baptist Church, Bonnie taught Sunday School and enjoyed visiting shut-ins. Her hobbies included: needlework – quilting, cross-stitch, embroidery, and tatting; reading, and baking. Preceded in death by parents, William and Alfreda Johnson; sisters, Kathryn Johnson and Margaret Roberts; brothers, Richard Johnson and twin brother, John Bill Johnson; and daughter-in-law, Alicia Nipper. She was a devoted wife and mother. Survived by husband of 66 years, John W. Nipper; children, Maree (Ed) Smith, Mark (Gloria) Nipper, Brent (Ruth) Nipper, and William “Bill” Nipper; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, 2500 Maryville Pike Knoxville, TN 37920 on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 from 5:00 – 6:30 P.M. A celebration of life service will immediately follow at 6:30 P.M. with Rev. Ron Russell officiating. Family and friends will meet at Woodlawn Cemetery on Thursday, October 30, 2014 for an 11:00 A.M. graveside service.
