Billie Fay Smith

Billie Curtis Smith, age 90 of Strawberry Plains, TN, made her journey from this life to Heaven above on October 17, 2021. She is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Leon Smith; her parents, Taylor and Bessie Curtis; 3 siblings that passed at birth or shortly after and aunt, Virgie Clifton.

She leaves behind daughter, Phyllis McFarland and family also son, James Smith and family. She cared for her family very deeply and will be greatly missed. She honored her Savior in many ways through her devotion in service, particularly with her ability to play the piano in many churches throughout the area. The family wishes to thank all at Jefferson Park Nursing home in Dandridge for their care and compassion given during her stay there.

There will be a graveside service at Pollards Hill Cemetery at 1:00pm Tuesday, October 19, 2021. Anyone wishing to join in the procession to the cemetery can meet at 11:30am at McCarty-Evergreen Funeral Home, 7426 Asheville Hwy, Knoxville, TN.
