Ray, James William “Bill”, age 52 of South Knoxville, passed away January 14, 2012 at his home with his family by his side. He was a graduate of Fulton High School with the class of 1977. He was a truck driver with Kel-san with 25 years of service. Preceded in death by parents James and Louise Ray. He was a loving and dedicated father and husband and will be missed by his wife, Michelle Moore Ray; daughter, Madisyn Ray; step-son, Anthony Dean; sisters, Vicky (Fred Taylor) Ray and Evelyn Ray; brothers, Kenneth Thompson, Greg Ray, Michael and wife Brenda Ray; brother-in-law, Michael and Frankie Moore; mother and father-in-law, Eula and LeRoy Scalf, San Diego, California; nephews, Nicholas and Shawn McClain, William Moore; niece, Brittany Moore and several other nephews. Special friends, Harry Harris, Billy McClain, Sue Stapleton and Joy Hileman. Special thanks to family and friends at Kel-san and Aesseal. The funeral will be at 8:00 pm Tuesday, January 17, 2012 in the chapel of Berry Funeral Home with Rev. James Webber officiating. Family and friends will meet at Berry Funeral Home at 12:00 noon Wednesday, January 18, 2012 and proceed to Highland South Cemetery for a 1:00 pm graveside service.
