Bill R. Payne

Billy Ralph Payne, Sr. age 89, of Sevierville, Tennessee went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 3, 2021. Bill was a retired Air Force Staff Sergeant, proudly serving in Vietnam, Korea and Guam. He enjoyed traveling in Europe and cruises and all over the world with his wife. He also worked for the Forestry Dept in Maryland for several years before returning to his home state of Tennessee. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Sevierville. Bill volunteered at a nursing home in Knoxville for many years.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Hattie Payne; brother, James Payne and sister, Ruth Loveless. He is survived and will be deeply missed by his beloved wife of 32 years, Marguerite Payne; sons, Billy R. Payne, Jr. and Mark Payne; daughters, Deanne Simmons and family, Brenda Kaye Langston and family; several grandchildren; and other extended family and friends.

Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, October 12th at 10:00am at Sevierville Christian Center, 1187 Ernest McMahan Rd. Sevierville, 37862, officiated by Pastor James Spicer. The family will receive friends prior beginning at 9:00am. Graveside Service and Military Honors will be on Wednesday, October 13th at 10:00am at East Tennessee Veteran's Cemetery, 2200 E.
