Mrs. Betty Jean Webb, née Rosenbalm, 85, died Monday, March 30th at her home in Seymour, TN after a long illness. She was preceded in death by her parents, Pat Rosenbalm and Minnie McBee Rosenbalm and 4 of her sisters, Marie Reed, Ruby Lyons, Lois Bostic, and Evelyn Free. She was married to the late Kenneth E. Webb, (MSgt, USAF, retired) for 67 years. She is survived by her sisters Lucille Moon, Dorothy England, and Norma Webb and her daughters Teresa Webb-Martin (Bill), Cheryl Thomas Ezell (Kent), and Johnnie Fish (Jim), 7 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandson. She was especially fond of Susan Webb Metler, who was her caregiver in the last few years.
Mrs Webb was mother and homemaker. When her daughter's were grown, she worked at the Bank of Knoxville until retiring as head teller of the Seymour branch. Mrs. Webb loved fashion, home decorating, and gardening. She will be sorely missed by family and friends.
There will be no visitation or service due to the quarantine now in effect. Her earthly body will be interred at East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery on Gov. John Sevier Highway, on Friday April 3. In lieu of flowers, friends may make donations to the charity of their choice. Mrs. Webb personally supported charities that helped our veterans and law enforcement.
