Mrs. Betty Jean Rouse Spence

Spence, Betty Jean Rouse-age 79 of Knoxville, passed away with her children by her side on March 11, 2011 after a loved-filled life. She was retired from the University of Tennessee Graduate School. Preceded in death by her parents, L.G. and Martha Rouse; husband Mervin Eugene Spence and several siblings. Survived by daughter and son-in-law, Jana and Bill Davison; daughter and son-in-law, Dr. Marsha Spence and Pete Garza; daughter, Darla Catinella; son and daughter-in-law, Bishop Mychal and Donna Spence; grandchildren, Rebecca and husband Scott Santel, Will Davison, Nick Green, Anthony and Sophia Catinella, Jeremiah Gates, Michael Spence and wife, Beth, Jesse Spence and fiancé, Lacey McBride; great grandchildren, Tyler and Callie Santel; brothers Rev. Jesse Rouse and wife Ann; J. D. Rouse and wife, Doris, Joe V. Rouse and wife, Ginger; special family friends: Ann Green, Joel Green, Randi Hinton, Natalie Hansen and Carl Sustik. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 pm on Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway. A memorial service will follow at 7:00 pm, Dr. Sean White officiating.
