Betty Jo Melton, age 72, of Walland, passed away Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at her residence. Betty retired from Baymont Inn & Suites in Sevierville. She was preceded in death by parents, son, and one brother. She is survived by companion, Wendell Green; sister, Pat Laymon; brother, Bob Thomas; grandson, Johnny Matthews; and two great-grandchildren, Jordan Buchanan and Cassey Matthews. The family will receive friends Wednesday, September 26, 2018 from 5-7 p.m. at McCarty-Evergreen Funeral Home with service to follow at 7:00 p.m., Rev. Dennis Maxey officiating.
