Betty Jean McNeil

Betty Jean Beaty McNeil age 90 of Knoxville, made her final journey Saturday March 18, 2023 at 10:45 p.m. at home surrounded by her love ones. She was a graduate of Old Knoxville General Hospital in 1953, retired after 40 years of service at St. Mary's Hospital and an active member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Verdie and Naoma Pearl Beaty; husband, Roy G. McNeil; sister, Joan Beaty Miller; brothers, Billy and Jerry Beaty. She is survived by sons, Ricky (Dayna) McNeil and Randy (Donna) McNeil; daughter, Vicki (Michael) Schweer; 10 grandchildren, Christopher McNeil, Kevin and Ryan Schweer, Robyn Shaddock, David (Amber) McNeil, Jamie (Phil) Farrior and Lori (Jonathan) Lee. Numerous great-grandchildren; brother, Daniel Beaty; nieces and nephews and family; special nephew, David (Mary) Miller. The family will receive friends Wednesday March 22, 2023 from 5-7 p.m. at Berry Funeral Home 3704 Chapman Hwy. Service will follow March 22, 2023 at Berry Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kirby Ownby officiating. Family and friends will meet at Greenwood Cemetery Thursday March 23, 2023 for a 11 a.m. Interment. In lieu of flowers donation can be made to Mt.
