Betty Lois Dobbs Humphreys

She was a 1961 graduate of Claiborne County High School and Knoxville Business College.

Betty was retired from Berry Funeral Home where she served as Office Manager for 40 years until her retirement in 2009. Betty and her husband Bill enjoyed flying single engine airplanes out of Skyranch Airport.

She is preceded in death by her husband, William E. "Bill" Humphreys; parents, Zeb S. Dobbs and Hattie R. Lambert Dobbs; sister, Norma Lee Robertson; brothers, Carl and Harley Dobbs; step-son, Cary Humphreys

She is survived by her sister, Sadie Long; nephews, Kermit (Debi) Dobbs, Dennis Long, Scott (Brenda) Robertson, Steve (Debbie) Dobbs and Allen (Barbara) Robertson and one niece, Kathryn Bray; step-son, Bill (Becky) Humphreys and family, Judy Humphreys and family; dear friends, Marti Rice, Elveta Wood and Cecil Gray.

Family and friends may call at their convenience from 12 noon to 5 pm Sunday, July 23, 2023. A private graveside service will be held at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be made to Young Williams Animal Center, 3201 Division Street, Knoxville, TN 37919.
