Betty S. Harmon

Harmon, Betty Ann Strange, age 87, of Knoxville, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 19, 2015. Born on September 7, 1927. Married Billy Ben Harmon on January 25, 1947. Retired from Martin Marietta after 40 years of service. Member of Bookwalter Church for many years. Preceded in death by husband, Billy Ben Harmon; daughter, Elaine Harmon; mother and father, Maggie and Elbert Strange; brothers, Ralph and Tilman Strange. Survived by son, Mitchell B. Harmon and wife, Dolly Harmon; sister, Velma Cameron and her daughter, Melinda; sister-in-law, Arlene Harmon and niece, Jeanine Harmon; several cousins from the Hobbs and Strange families; special friends, Raymond and Virginia Barger, Cindy Barger, Ethel Buchanan, Lanna and Eddie Smith and children, the Harless family, caregiver and friend Lisa Harvey, and adopted grandchildren, Chelsey and Haley Ferrell. Family and friends will meet at 11 am, Thursday, May 21, 2015 in Lynnhurst Cemetery for the graveside service.
