Barbara Ann Walker, age 85, of Greenback, Tennessee passed away peacefully on the morning of September 3, 2022 at Shannondale Health Care Center in Maryville, Tennessee. Barbara had dementia and other health issues but gracefully transitioned to God’s care.
Barbara was born on October 27, 1936, to Harold and Cynthia Orean Reynolds in Troy, N.C. She was a beloved wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. Barbara always had a beautiful smile for everyone and looked forward to family gatherings and friends over. From an early age, she had a passion for cooking, gardening, canning, sewing, quilting and crafts. After staying at home and helping raise four beautiful kids, she ventured out and managed a craft store in Knoxville for several years.
Barbara will be greatly missed and remembered fondly by those blessed to have known her. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother-in law and sister-in-law, Joseph Virgil and Esther Walker; and son-in law, Michael Eugene Burcham. Survived by her husband, Robert Wayne Walker; daughter, Sheree L. Burcham of Karnes, TN; sons, Kermit "Kim" (Shelia) Walker of Alvaton, KY, Ronald Scott (Becky) Walker and Randel Todd Walker of Maryville, TN. Barbara is also survived by sister, Marie Cranford of Troy, N.C.; grandchildren, Heather (Scott) Blair, Eric (Jessica) Weaver, Joshua Walker, Kristen (Dustin) Vincent, Leslie (Brian) Weigel, Cassie Rose; great grandchildren, Brandon, Chandler and Abby Blair, Hunter Cooper, Addison Weigel, Owen and Jude Vincent, Elissa and Emma Weaver, Kenlee, Eralynn and Kainen; and many great nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to acknowledge with deep appreciation the loving care she received at Shannondale and the many expressions of love, concern and kindness shown to us by our friends and neighbors during this time of bereavement.
The family will receive friends Friday, September 9th from 5-7 pm and Saturday, September 10th from 9–10 am with funeral service to follow at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home with Pastor Rich Carnes officiating. Entombment with burial service to follow at Lynnhurst Cemetery.
