Barbara Joyce Summers, age 89, of Knoxville, TN passed away on Tuesday, February 15, 2022. Barbara worked as a Switchboard Operator for South Central Bell, AT&T, and at the City County Building in Knoxville. She loved going to Daytona Beach every summer with her family. Barbara enjoyed going for Sunday drives and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Edward Summers; parents, Roy and Helen Joyce; sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Milas Smith and nephew, Woodson Smith.
Barbara is survived by daughter, Tanya Summers as well as many nieces, nephews, and family and friends.
Barbara's family will receive friends on Friday, February 18, 2022 at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home from 11:00am - 12:00pm with a Funeral Service to follow at 12:00pm. Interment will immediately follow in the Lynnhurst Cemetery. All services will be officiated by Pastor Sampson Ridenour. Special music will be provided by Amanda Ridenour.
