Barbara Imogene Hamilton

Barbara Smith Hamilton, age 78 of Knoxville, passed away peacefully Sunday, November 8, 2015 with family by her side. Barbara’s life was her family. She was a generous soul who would help anyone who needed it. She was a member of Meridian Baptist Church. Her and her husband, Bob, enjoyed traveling the United States together (sometimes very spontaneously). She is preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Lucille Smith; grandmother, Olive Mauk; daughter, Glenda Hall; and several brothers and sisters. Barbara is survived by her husband and best friend of 59 years, Bob Hamilton, Sr.; sons, Steve (Mary) Hamilton, Robbie Hamilton, Robbie Hamilton III; daughters, Pam (Kenny) Lowe, Lisa Hancock, Erica Hamilton; sisters, Connie Cate, Roberta (Don) Walker; brothers, Clyde (Helen) Smith, Jr.; Six grandchildren; Seven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends, Thursday, November 12, 2015 from 5:00-7:00 pm at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway. A funeral service will follow at 7:00 pm with Rev. Dana Fachman officiating. Family and friends will meet Friday, November 13, 2015 at 10:30 am at Berry Funeral Home to go in procession to Meridian Cemetery for an 11:00 am graveside. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Meridian Baptist Church on Chapman Highway.
