Dunn, Barbara Jean Roop, age 74, of Knoxville, passed away Wednesday, November 14, 2012. She served at St. Mary’s Hospital for 50 years. She was a recipient of a heart transplant and was a member of the New Heart Support Group of Knoxville. Preceded in death by parents James Kyle and Anna Lee Roop.
Survived by sons, Gary Dunn, and Mark Dunn; brother; James Earl Roop of Knoxville married to Janice Knootz; brother, Charles Ellis Roop of Georgia married to Wanda Grant; sister, Linda Sue Roop Schuttler of Kansas married to Bradley Schuttler.
A memorial celebration of life reception will be at Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel Tuesday, November 20, 2012 from 6-8 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made in memory of Barbara to the Knoxville Humane Society, P.O. Box 51723, Knoxville, TN 37950.
