Anne Meade Fields Hart of Knoxville, Tennessee, and formerly of Chattanooga, passed away peacefully at her home in Knoxville. Visitation will be held from 1:30 – 3:00 PM Sunday, November 12, at Berry Highland Memorial Funeral Home on Kingston Pike in Knoxville. A Memorial Service will follow at 3:00 PM in the Funeral Home Chapel. There will be a brief Graveside Service for Anne’s family and local friends at Greenwood Cemetery, Chattanooga, Tennessee on Monday, November 13, at 11:00 AM. Anne is predeceased by her parents, Harry Lee Fields, Jr. and Jean Wolfe Fields. She is survived by her sister, Katie Fields Bell (B. B.) of Chattanooga and brothers Harry Lee Fields, III (Sara) of Chattanooga and R. Mark Fields (Kit) of Jackson, Mississippi along with nephews, a niece and close cousins. Anne graduated from Girls Preparatory School in Chattanooga in 1963 and attended the University of Georgia. She was presented at the Chattanooga Cotton Ball in 1964. Anne had exceptional writing skills that led to an extensive professional career as a reporter for the Chattanooga Times and the Knoxville News Sentinel. Anne later served as Chief of Staff for Knoxville Mayor Kyle Testerman and managed political campaigns for Testerman and other southeastern candidates. Anne’s later career included contract publishing, real estate sales and reporting for the Shopper-News in Knoxville. Anne loved Rotary and was proud to be a Lifetime Honorary Member of the Rotary Club of Bearden. Memorial donations may be made to the Rotary Club of Bearden Foundation, P.O.
